Equipment

  • 1 Vitamix Blender

Ingredients

  • 4 cups raw almonds

Instructions

  • Turn oven on 350 degrees Fahrenheit
To a baking sheet add 4 cups unsalted almonds spread evenly, heat for 10 minutes .
  • Remove almonds from baking sheet immediately so the almonds don’t continue to cook. Allow almonds to cool.
  • Once cooled, place almonds in the Vitamix container and secure the lid. Start blending on low and then increase to the highest speed. The almonds will first become powdery, continue to blend and push down with the tamper. This can take a minute or so. Once your almonds start turning into a paste turn off the machine and push down the almond paste from the sides of the blender container.
Close the lid again and continue to blend pushing down with the tamper until your almonds are creamy and smooth.
  • Store in airtight containers in the fridge and consume within a month

Notes

Note: Once you have removed all the almond butter from the Vitamix container, don't wash your container, instead, make a fruit and almond  butter smoothie. I use frozen or fresh fruit and almond milk and blend all the left over butter sticking to the Vitamix container and I get a delicious smoothie.
