I simply luuurrrrv papaya. My parents had a papaya tree on our very small property growing up in the south of India.
I love papaya soooo much, that I grew my own papaya tree in our Bali house when we lived in there. I planted seeds from a papaya I ate one day and in 8 months I had a tree bearing fruit. This fruit is earths gift to mankind! That’s if you like papaya 😋!
When I lived in Bali, I ate it every single morning before my green smoothie and my two shots of wheatgrass. Now I eat it occasionally in Canada because the quality is not so good and it’s expensive.
Here’s a recipe if you like papaya.
Papaya green smoothie
- 1/2 ripe papaya
- 1/2 lemon
- 1 inch piece ginger
- 1 ripe banana
- 2 large handfuls baby spinach
- 3/4 cup water
Place all ingredients into a high-speed blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Enjoy!
Note: you can add 1 tbsp of nut butter if you want to make it a whole meal.
